Clear out your bookshelves and swap your old stories for new adventures! Kennesaw Parks & Recreation’s Book, CD & DVD Swap is a fun, FREE and easy way to freshen-up your library. Drop off your gently used hardcover or paperback books, music CDs and DVD movies on Thursday and Friday, January 26-27 and receive a ticket redeemable for the same number of items during “open swap” time on Saturday, January 28. After the event, all unclaimed items will be donated to charitable organizations. This is not a book sale. It is a FREE media swap. Items will not be available for purchase.

Join us for the opening reception of our latest exhibition, “Culinary Memory!” This exhibition uses Brillat-Savarin’s “The Physiology of Taste: Or Meditations on Transcendental Gastronomy” as a starting point from which to explore the history of the cookbook. “The Physiology of Taste,” this exhibition walks visitors through the history of food writing and its relationship to our changing cultural. Join the Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art (ZMA) for “Gut Feelings,” an exhibition of contemporary artists in whose work food, feeding, and cooking serve as representations of exchanged emotion. Highlighting multimedia works from local and internationally-recognized artists”Gut Feelings” features over thirty works depicting food as a conduit for a wide range of relationships and as a site of intersectionality. The opening event features live music, including food writer And Various Artists. “Gut Feelings” is accompanied by a catalog including curator’s essay, artist information and images, and short commissioned texts by invited authors including a (sub) textual footnote intervention.
